Due to the current pandemic, the Town’s annual in person celebration of Canada Day will not occur. This does not mean we will not be celebrating; it will just look a little different as we all continue to do our part to stay apart.
CANADA DECORATING CONTEST
This year the Town is encouraging residents and businesses to show their patriotism by decorating their home or business in true Canadian style. Show us how proud you are to be Canadian. Please submit photos of your decorating to [email protected] by 4:00pm June 29, 2020. We will then have submissions posted on the Town’s Social Media sites for judging by the public. Voting will end at 11:59pm on July 1, 2020.
CORNWALL’S CANADIAN COLORING CONTEST
Show off your creative abilities by joining Cornwall Canadian Colouring contest. There will be two different Canadian pictures to choose from posted on the Town social media sites on June 30, 2020. Print off and color the picture, your chance to show us your fine coloring skills. Once completed take a picture of your masterpiece with your name and phone number and email to [email protected]. All entries will have a chance at some great prizes.
ON THE MOVE THROUGH OUR LOCAL AND CANADIAN HERITAGE 2020 SCAVANGER HUNT
Gather your family or members of your household to participate in our travelling scavenger hunt. We are asking you to either walk or cycle to various community locations. At each location you will find a local or Canadian trivia question. Please keep track of your answers at each of the locations you visit.
Once you visit all locations, you can submit your answers via email to [email protected]. The list of the locations will be released on July 1st. Don’t forget to pack a picnic for you and the family to sit and enjoy one of the great community facilities that you will visit that day. Prizes will be awarded.
