July 1st – Julie Pellissier-Lush, writer, actress, photographer will be holding a Healing Ceremony with smudging and drumming at 10am on Canada Day in the Circle of Peace at the Terry Fox Centre in Cornwall. There will be a cleansing of the area, a poem shared that was written for the children who did not make it home followed by a drum song of healing. This ceremony of healing will be a opportunity for those who to want express their own grief together in unity with Indigenous people all over Turtle Island who are hurting over the recent uncovered truths and trauma caused by the Residential School system. This event is open to the public with Covid-19 protocols being followed – please wear a mask and respect physical distancing at all times
